BISS named Jack Pizzey Award State Finalists

Time to celebrate another Bribie Island Succcess!

Our amazing school has been announced as a state finalist in 2015 Jack Pizzey Awards for Excellence in Educational Leadership – School Leadership Team of the Year Award.

The Jack Pizzey School Leadership Team of the Year Award seeks to recognise an outstanding state school leadership team that has fostered a culture of high performance and continuous improvement for Queensland state school students by:

  • innovating as lead learners in their school or cluster of schools
  • collaborating within and beyond their school to make sure that a great school has a great school down the road with great teachers
  • elevating students, and teachers to greater levels of success.

Such a great achievement for the Bribie Island State School team to be named as State finalists and recognition of the depth of talent at our school.  Mrs Simone Woodham, Deputy Principal of BISS, stated "Leadership at Bribie Island is shared by all across a diverse range of settings and roles."   This achievement is one to be shared by all as a measure of success and a reflection of how dedicated our staff and community are to the success of our students.

The winners of this category and other categories for the The Jack Pizzey Awards will be announced on 30th October 2015.  Good luck Bribie Island State School.
